Joan Zierler

Executive Producer

Joan has worked in still photography, film, video, and digital production for over 20 years. After graduating in Fine Art and Photography from the School of Visual Arts in New York, she began working in the film industry. Quickly working her way up from commercial line producer, she crossed over to the crew side when she joined the motion picture union camera department, first NABET and then IATSE. While in the camera department she worked on commercials, documentaries, features, television shows and music videos.

She began to specialize in in-camera visual effects. Postproduction entered the video and digital world and Joan, enamored with the possibilities, began working for a visual effects company. Here she became a producer/visual effects supervisor, providing live action film production, on-set visual effects supervision, and following the projects through the post process.

Since then she has worked as a Producer, Creative Producer, Supervision Producer and Executive Producer for a number of companies and has extensive experience handling production, budgets, schedules, personal and clients on projects involving still photography, live action, 2D & 3D animation, practical and digital visual effects and post-production for a range of products.

Joan enjoys collaborating with the creative team and client, drawing on her broad-based experience and expertise to find ways to execute and produce their creative vision.
